Amidst the fear spread in India regarding Corona vaccine Covishield, a former scientist of ICMR has given relief information. He says that there is no need to fear Corona's Covishield vaccine in any way. Its side effects occur only in rare cases. Not only this, while explaining the figures, he said that out of 10 lakh people taking the vaccine, about 7 or 8 people may be at risk of heart attack or blood clot. This side effect is called thrombosis thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS). Former ICMR scientist Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar said that there is no risk of any kind from the vaccine.
This happens only in exceptional and rare cases. Talking to a news channel, he said that the danger is highest when you take the first dose. This reduces after the second dose and then disappears completely by the third dose. If side effects occur, the effects may begin to appear in the first two to three months. He said that after years of vaccination there is no need to be afraid of it. Actually, this whole matter started with a case in the British court, where the relatives of some of the deceased claimed that they died after taking the vaccine.
When this case went on, the vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca admitted in the court that in very rare cases, there could be a problem of blood clotting. In India, this vaccine has been developed by Serum Institute of India and it has been named Covishield. About 90 percent of the people in India have been vaccinated with Covishield. When the news of this case came in the media in Britain, fear spread among the people in India also. When the former ICMR scientist was asked about this, he rejected it. He said that any vaccine may have some side effects, but these go away with time.
Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar says that this happens with any injection. He said that there is a need to understand that only 7 or 8 people out of 10 lakh are at risk of side effects. Let us tell you that the British newspaper Daily Telegraph has written that AstraZeneca has told the High Court in London that its medicine can cause side effects in rare cases.
