Even before the start of voting for the Lok Sabha elections, the common man has received a big gift today. Government oil and gas marketing companies today announced reduction in LPG cylinder prices from April 1. This is expected to provide relief to people and reduce inflation.
Reduction applicable on commercial cylinders
According to the information given by government oil companies, from today the price of LPG cylinder has reduced by Rs 30.50 in various cities of the country. However, the benefit of this deduction will be available only on 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. This time there has been no change in the prices of LPG cylinders for domestic use.
These prices from today in different cities
After the latest cut, the price of 19 kg cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 1,764.50. Similarly, commercial LPG cylinder will be available in Kolkata for Rs 1,879 from today. People in Mumbai will now have to pay Rs 1,717.50 for this big cylinder, while in Chennai it will now cost Rs 1,930.
This cut was made before the elections
This reduction in the price of commercial cylinders is important because the first phase of voting is going to be held this month. The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections are starting this month and will continue till June. Along with this, the increase in the price of commercial cylinders which has been going on for three consecutive months has also been stopped.
Last month he received a gift
Domestic LPG cylinder consumers got a gift early last month, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a discount of Rs 100 in LPG cylinder prices on the occasion of Women's Day (8 March 2024). A day before this, on March 7, the Modi government had given relief to the common people in the matter of LPG cylinders. After this, the cabinet announced to give a subsidy of Rs 300 to the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana till 31 March 2025.
