Release of Prabhas-Deepika's Kalki 2998 eclipses elections

Mumbai: Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's science fiction film 'Kalki 2998 AD' may be eclipsed in the Lok Sabha elections. Since the voting dates in Andhra and Telangana were announced along with the release of this film, there is now a possibility that the release of the film may have to be postponed. It is scheduled to release on 9th May. But, according to the announced schedule of Lok Sabha elections in Andhra and Telangana. Voting is on 13th. This means that the film will release at the peak of the election season. The film is considered pan-India due to the cast including Deepika, but still the fact remains that Prabhas has a huge fan base among the Telugu speaking audience and the film can earn maximum revenue only in Andhra and Telangana. It is being said that after the announcement of election dates, the makers of the film have now started thinking about postponing the release. However, very few favorable dates are available for the big budget film Long Weekend.

Telugu star Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa Two' has already announced its August 15th holiday date. Now if the date of 'Kalki 2998 AD' is also fixed in August, then there is a possibility that these films of Beau Ballia will create a stir at the box office.

However, another problem is that 'Singham Again' is also scheduled to release on the same dates.

Now an official announcement from the makers in this regard is awaited.
