Rohtak, 21 October (HS). A case of kidnapping of the son of a Zilla Parishad councilor representative has come to light. However, the son was found safe after a few hours. The councilor representative has accused Rajesh Sarkari, chairman of the Zilla Parishad and husband of Manju Hooda, the BJP candidate who recently contested against former CM Hooda from Garhi Sampla Kiloi assembly constituency, of kidnapping his son. The councilor representative said that the councilors had submitted a memorandum to the administrative officer to bring a no-confidence motion against Chairman Manju Hooda and due to this, an attempt was made to kidnap her son to influence the no-confidence motion against the chairperson.

Sampla police station has registered a case in this regard on the complaint of the councilor representative's husband. It is being told that a Panchayat was also held in Ismaila village regarding this matter, in which Sarpanch and District Councilors of various villages along with MP Deependra Singh Hooda also arrived and he instructed the officials to take appropriate action in this regard. Besides, the villagers also strongly opposed the chairperson Manju Hooda and her husband Rajesh Sarkari. Meanwhile, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Manju Hooda says that all this is being done to tarnish her image. She believes in democracy and the allegations being leveled against her husband are completely baseless.

According to the police, Jagbir, a resident of Ismaila village, told that his wife Neelam is a councilor of the District Council. In the morning his 15 year old son had gone out of the house on a motorcycle for a walk. Meanwhile, the people in the car hit the motorcycle and kidnapped his son at gunpoint. However, after some time the kidnapped youth was found safe on Delhi Road. Later the son informed the family about the incident. Jagbir alleged that this entire matter has been done to influence the no-confidence motion against the chairperson, because 10 out of 14 district councilors are against the chairperson Manju Hooda and the councilors had also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Deputy Commissioner. He told that voting is also to be held on October 23 regarding the no-confidence motion against Chairperson Manju Hooda. Sampla police station is investigating the matter thoroughly.
