Rehearsal of parade was done at Shaheed Randhir Verma Stadium

Dhanbad, August 9 (HS). In preparation for Independence Day, parade rehearsal began at Shahid Randhir Verma Stadium from Friday. On this occasion, two platoons each of DAP and NCC and one platoon each of CISF, CRPF, JAP, Home Guard, RPF and Indian Scout and Guide took part in the parade. This rehearsal will continue till August 13. The national anthem was sung by the students of Coalfield School, Saraidhela. On August 13, the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police will inspect the parade rehearsal and preparations for the ceremony at Randhir Verma Stadium.

On the occasion of Independence Day, the main function will be organized at Shahid Randhir Verma Stadium. Flag hoisting will be done here at 9:05 am. After this, flag hoisting will be done at Dhanbad Collectorate at 10:00 am, at Sub-Divisional Officer Office at 10:20 am, at Mixed Building at 10:30 am, at Gandhi Seva Sadan at 10:45 am, at Red Cross Society at 11:00 am and at Police Line Dhanbad at 11:10 am.
