Ghaziabad, August 30 (HS). State Minister of Labor and Employment, Dr. Raghuraj Singh said that the service providers should register all the eligible workers working with them, so that they can be provided the benefits of the schemes run by the board. He also gave instructions to get the establishment registered for each job.
On Friday, in Lok Nirman Inspection Bhawan, the State Minister of Labor and Service, Dr. Raghuraj Singh held a review meeting with the officials of the concerned departments. In the meeting, the Minister of State said that all the implementing agencies were given training for depositing cess through the new portal cessupbocw.in created for cess collection and for portal feeding of the deposited cess. Those implementing agencies which are not depositing cess or the department is not being informed about the cess. He directed all such institutions to deposit cess through the newly created portal and to do the feeding as per the rules. Due to no information of cess being provided by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, the concerned officer was directed to take action. The Chief Engineer was directed to immediately provide the complete list of cess being deducted by Ghaziabad Development Authority in relation to the maps and deposit it in the account of the Cess Board.
In the meeting, Deputy Labor Commissioner Anurag Mishra informed that under Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, mainly under the Construction Workers Death and Disability Assistance Scheme, Rs. 2.25 lakh is given in case of normal death and Rs. 5.25 lakh in case of death due to accident. Under Shishu Maternity and Girl Child Assistance Scheme, the newborn babies of registered beneficiary workers are given Rs. 20 thousand in lump sum on birth of a son and Rs. 25 thousand in case of daughter and Rs. 25 thousand in lump sum on birth of a girl child in the family as fixed deposit. On this occasion, Assistant Labor Commissioner Virendra Kumar, Assistant Labor Commissioner Hapur Sarvesh Kumari, Assistant Labor Commissioner Bulandshahr Dr. Pallavi Agarwal, Chief Engineer of Ghaziabad Development Authority Mavendar Kumar etc. were present.
