Recovery in Indian stock market after two days, Sensex closed up by 314 points

After the fall in the market, today's trading session i.e. Thursday, March 14, Wednesday brought relief for the investors of the Indian stock market. Strong buying was seen in IT, FMCG shares. Today, a strong rise was seen in Thursday's session. At the end of trading today, BSE Sensex crossed 73000 mark and closed at 73,097 points with a jump of 335 points. Whereas the National Stock Exchange's Nifty managed to cross 22,000 and closed at 22,146 points, up 149 points.

There has been a strong recovery in midcap and smallcap stocks in today's trading. Nifty Midcap Index closed 930 points or 2.02 percent higher. Whereas the smallcap index closed with a jump of 500 points. However, judging from the morning's decline, the midcap index has recovered from lows above 1600 points and the smallcap index above 700 points. In today's trading, shares of IT, Pharma, FMCG, Energy, Infra, Consumer Durables, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors closed with gains. Only banking shares recorded a decline. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 stocks closed higher and 12 stocks closed lower. Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 35 shares closed with gains and 15 shares closed with decline.

Market cap increased by Rs 8 lakh crore

In Thursday's session, investors' wealth increased by Rs 8 lakh crore due to strong rise in the stock market. Which reduced to Rs 14 lakh crore on Wednesday.
