Consuming peas in winter is considered very beneficial. You must have eaten peas with many vegetables. If you are thinking of making something special and different then this dish is the perfect option. We are talking about Matar Makhani. Its taste is amazing and you can enjoy it with roti or naan.
Material
Green peas – 200 grams
2 tomatoes
2 green chillies
2 teaspoon oil
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 tsp red chilli 1/4
spoon coriander powder
green coriander finely chopped
1/2 tsp 4 tsp garam masala
1 teaspoon butter
1 spoon gram flour
Salt- as per taste
Method
– First of all, place the pan on gas and add oil in it. Heat it and then add cumin seeds to it.
– After roasting, add asafoetida, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
– Now you have to add crushed tomato and red chilli inside the masala. Fry the tomatoes until oil starts separating from the tomatoes.
– When the masala is roasted, add peas to it and stir. After this add salt in it.
– Keep the peas covered for some time and let them melt properly.
– Heat a small pan on second gas and add melted butter and gram flour in it and brown it lightly.
– When it is fried well, add half a cup of water to it. Then add finely chopped coriander to the vegetable.
– Let it cook on low flame for some time. – When the masala and oil start separating, add the remaining milk cream to it and stir.
– Cream will double its taste. Matar Makhani is ready.
