He has also agreed to pay a fine of $ 243.6 million i.e. about Rs. 4,000 crore. The company has agreed to spend Rs 4,000 crore on aircraft safety for the next 3 years. Two Boeing 737 Max aircraft crashed in Indonesia and Ethiopia within five months in 2018 and 2019, killing 346 passengers. If Boeing is found guilty in the safety fraud case, it may be at risk of receiving government orders from the US Department of Defense and NASA. However, Boeing can apply to the government for some relief in this case. In May, the Justice Department canceled the 2021 settlement related to the company's fatal accident. After this, a criminal case can also be filed against Boeing.
