Reader of Deputy Superintendent of Police and broker arrested while taking bribe of Rs. 1.2 lakh | News India

Jaipur, September 7 (HS). The Dholpur team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau took action on Saturday and arrested Head Constable (Reader) Hariram Meena of the Office of Deputy Superintendent of Police Circle-Bhusawar District Bharatpur and his broker Rakesh Kumar Garg while accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand from the complainant.

Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General of Police, Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharada informed that the complainant complained to the Dholpur team of ACB that in lieu of helping in the case registered against him and filing FR, Head Constable (Reader) Hariram Meena of the Office of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Circle-Bhusawar, District Bharatpur is demanding a bribe of Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousand through his broker Rakesh Kumar Garg.

The ACB's Dholpur team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh, after verifying the complaint and conducting a trap, arrested Head Constable (Reader) Hariram Meena and broker Rakesh Kumar Garg while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand (Rs 24 thousand in current Indian currency and Rs 96 thousand in dummy currency).
