Former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede was part of the team in 2021 that arrested actor Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a drug case. Recently, Sameer Wankhede was questioned on this matter in a podcast, in which he refused to make any comment. While reacting to a dialogue spoken in Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Jawaan’, he said that he is not interested in answering the ‘Third Class’ dialogue.
Sameer Wankhede’s reaction on the dialogue of ‘Jawaan’
During the interview, when Sameer Wankhede was asked about the dialogue “Talk to the father before touching the son” from Shahrukh’s film ‘Jawaan’, he clearly said,
“Look, I don’t want to make anyone famous by taking someone’s name. The chats that have been leaked are before the Honorable High Court, so I will not comment on it.”
Sameer further said,
“These dialogues like ‘father’ and ‘son’, these seem very cheap and third rate words. Such words have no place in our Indian culture. I don’t expect myself to go to this level and respond to such road-side dialogues.”
Sameer Wankhede was accused of corruption
In 2023, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a corruption case against five people, including Sameer Wankhede, in the October 2021 Cordelia Cruise drug case. The allegation was that they had conspired to extort ₹25 crore from a person’s family and take a bribe of ₹50 lakh for not registering a case against him. Wankhede had denied these allegations and said that this was a vindictive action taken against him.
Further plans of Aryan Khan and Shahrukh Khan
- Shahrukh Khan was recently seen in the film ‘Dinky’.
- His son Aryan Khan is soon going to step into direction.
- Netflix has announced that Aryan’s first series will be based on the story of an ambitious outsider in the glittering but complex world of Bollywood.
This statement has once again brought the Aryan Khan case and Sameer Wankhede’s controversy into the limelight, but Sameer has made it clear that he does not want to make any further comments on this topic.
