Moradabad, 02 December (HS). For the recovery of crores of rupees of Area Panchayat Fund released in 2015-16 for seven development blocks of the district, the department has issued RC for recovery from the then BDO. The Directorate has instructed District Development Officer Govind Vallabh Pathak to submit the bill vouchers of the funds withdrawn for development works to the concerned Block Development Officers before the audit team or to deposit the misused funds.
District Development Officer said on Monday that the audit team raised objection on the works done from the Area Panchayat Fund in the year 2015-16 without tender process. He said that according to the audit, an amount worth crores is pending payment to the concerned Block Development Officers. Many times, despite notices given by the department, bill vouchers were not shown to any audit team. After which the department has issued RC of all for recovery.
District Development Officer Govind Vallabh Pathak said that in Moradabad block, an amount of Rs 2.23 crore was raised in objections raised on 4 proposals for the works done from the Area Panchayat Fund, in Bilari block a sum of Rs 2.90 crore was raised in objections raised on 12 proposals, in Kundarki block a sum of Rs 2.90 crore was raised on 7 proposals. Objections raised amount to Rs 3.19 crore, objections raised amount to Rs 2.38 crore on 17 proposals in Dilari Block. Crore, objections raised on 03 proposals in Thakurdwara block amount to Rs. 59 lakh, objections raised on 4 proposals in Chhajlat block amount to Rs. 44 lakh, objections raised on 5 proposals in Mundhapande block amount to Rs. 1.21 crore, misused money will be recovered.
