Varanasi, July 20 (HS). State Minister (Independent Charge) for Stamp and Court Registration Fees Ravindra Jaiswal on Saturday directed the police administration that the police personnel on duty should behave cordially with the Kanwariyas coming to Kashi during the month of Shravan. The Kanwariyas should not face any kind of trouble. He especially emphasized that special attention should be paid to the safety of the Kanwariyas during the journey. Minister Ravindra Jaiswal was holding a meeting with the administration and police officials in the Circuit House auditorium in the evening.
Ravindra Jaiswal, while giving information about the shops selling worship material of people of a particular community around Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, said that the nameplate of the proprietor must be displayed on these shops. He directed the Managing Director and Chief Engineer of the Electricity Department to ensure uninterrupted power supply and said that it should be ensured that there is no power cut under any circumstances during the month of Shravan. He asked to keep a team of linemen ready 24 hours a day to immediately repair minor power problems.
The minister said that there should be no hanging or dilapidated electric wires anywhere on the main roads including around the camps of Kanwarias built at various places in the city. He laid special emphasis on the Municipal Commissioner to ensure special cleanliness campaign during the entire month of Shravan in the entire city including around the major Shivalayas of the city. For this, he asked for 24-hour duty of cleaning workers and supervisors in shifts.
Minister Ravindra Jaiswal stressed on ensuring the availability of doctors and paramedical staff around the Dharamshalas and major Kanwaria camps on the Panchkoshi Parikrama route. District Magistrate S. Rajlingam, Managing Director of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Municipal Commissioner, Chief Medical Officer, DCP Kashi, DCP Varuna etc. were also present in the meeting.
