Star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will return to the Indian team for the ongoing five-Test series against England after a short absence. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given this information. According to the Indian Cricket Board, Ashwin will join the team on the fourth day of the Rajkot Test.
Earlier, there was news about Ashwin that he would be out of the third Test to be played in Rajkot due to family emergency. After the second day's play he withdrew his name from this test. On the third day, Ashwin did not field with Team India and Devdutt Padikal was fielded in his place.
Before the start of the fourth day's play in Rajkot, the news about Ashwin was a relief for Team India. BCCI issued a press statement saying that Ashwin will join the team on the fourth day. Let us tell you that India will have to bowl in the fourth innings i.e. when England comes to play the second innings. It is possible that after joining the team, Ashwin may be seen bowling for India.
