Strong attack on BJP leader Mamta Banerjee
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad while addressing the press conference said, 'According to the Constitution, this right belongs to the Government of India, not the state government. This statement of Mamata Banerjee is reprehensible and irresponsible. Regarding CAA, she said that we will not allow any Hindu, Sikh, Parsi or Christian refugee suffering from violence to enter Bengal.'
Ravi Shankar Prasad further said, 'This is an internal matter of Bangladesh and we request to resolve this matter. If the Chief Minister makes the announcement then what does it mean? Do you want to break the unity of India? Mamta ji, I want to ask you what do you mean by this. Bengal is the land of people like Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore and Subhash Chandra Bose.'
Mamata Banerjee is not concerned about the security of the country: Ravi Shankar Prasad
Expressing concern, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, 'Mamata Banerjee, Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav keep talking about the Constitution, do you have rights in the Constitution? This right belongs to the Government of India and not the state government. The population of West Bengal is changing rapidly. Today nine districts of the state have become Muslim majority areas. The demography of Kolkata is also changing. West Bengal is the land of Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Subhash Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda. Mamata Banerjee is not concerned about the security of the country. Many times the main accused of terrorist incidents take refuge in West Bengal.'
