Lucknow. In Hindu religion, Pradosh Vrat, which brings blessings of Mahadev, is considered very fruitful. According to religious beliefs, after sunset on Trayodashi date, during Pradosh period, Lord Shiva dances in a very happy posture on Mount Kailash and at this time, worshiping the entire Shiva family along with Mother Parvati removes all the troubles of the devotees. At present, Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month is going on and the last Pradosh Vrat of this month will be celebrated as ‘Ravi Pradosh Vrat’ as it falls on Sunday. This time at the time of puja, a rare combination of Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Indra Yoga and Jyestha Nakshatra is taking place, due to which the importance of this fast has increased manifold.
Correct date and Panchang calculation of Ravi Pradosh Vrat 2026
According to the Vedic calendar, the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month will start on 26 July 2026 at 01:57 pm. This date will end the next day on July 27 at 04:14 pm. Since in Pradosh Vrat, priority is given to the evening time i.e. Muhurta of Pradosh Kaal instead of Udayatithi, hence this last Pradosh Vrat of Ashadh will be observed on Sunday, 26th July only.
Auspicious time for worshiping Mahadev
The best time for Shiva Sadhana is from 07:16 pm to 09:21 pm on the evening of 26th July, which is the main auspicious time for the worship of Pradosh Kaal. Abhijit Muhurta for auspicious works in the afternoon will be from 12:00 AM to 12:55 AM, whereas Nishita Muhurta for Tantra and special worship will be from 12:07 AM to 12:49 AM.

Shiva worship done in this yoga is considered to fulfill every wish. Along with this, Indra Yoga will last from sunrise to 10.05 pm.
