Patna, 12 October (HS). Ravana Dahan program was organized on the occasion of Vijayadashami at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. A large number of people participated in this event. The program was jointly inaugurated by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
In this program of Dussehra Committee, both Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Nandkishore Yadav and many leaders and people associated with the committee were present. During this, the Chief Minister performed the aarti by applying tilak to Lord Ram. After this, Shri Ram burnt Ravana, the symbol of evil, by shooting an arrow. Patna's Gandhi Maidan echoed with slogans of Jai Shri Ram.
Before this, Ravana's Lanka built at Gandhi Maidan was burnt. The scene of war between Ram and Ravana was also seen. Shri Ram shot the arrow and Kumbhakarna was the first to burn. After this, the effigy of Ravana's son Meghnad was burnt. In the end, Shri Ram killed the arrogant Ravana by shooting an arrow, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and Ravana was burnt to ashes.
