Kathmandu, 21 February (HS). Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) demonstrated strength in Kathmandu on Wednesday demanding a Hindu nation in Nepal. Thousands of party leaders and workers demonstrated on the main streets of Kathmandu.
Addressing the gathering, party president Rajendra Lingden said that RPP is the only party in the country which has been continuously fighting on the issue of Hindu Rashtra since the beginning of the making of the Constitution. It is a victory for our party to raise the issue of Hindu nation even within the Nepali Congress, which has forcibly imposed secularism in the country. Lyngdon said that respecting the sentiments of the majority of the people, the country will soon have to be declared a Hindu nation again.
Senior party leader Pashupati Shamsher Rana said that voices have started being raised from every corner of the country demanding declaration of a Hindu nation. The ruling coalition should respect the sentiments of 90 percent of the people of the country.
