Ghaziabad, 20 September (HS). Police on Friday solved the Rashid murder case in Thana Tronica City area. Police have arrested the cunning criminal Gulfam and his accomplice Shahnaz in this case. Police have recovered the murder weapon, the wooden stick, the mobile phone of the deceased Rashid and the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the incident which had the blood of the deceased on it.
DCP Rural SN Tiwari said that on September 17, a person named Rashid was murdered and the body was thrown in the forest. Which was recovered from Haroon's paddy field on the roadside outside Badarpur village. Rashid's wife had lodged a report in this matter. Three teams were formed at the police station level to reveal the incident.
He informed that with the help of surveillance team, Tronica City Police Station team successfully solved the case within 72 hours and arrested the main accused Gulfam and co-accused Shahnaz from near Akhara Mandir crossing on Friday. On the information given by Gulfam, the wooden stick used in the crime and the mobile phone of deceased Rashid were recovered and on the information given by accused Shahnaz, the lower and T-shirt of accused Gulfam were recovered from a pit in an empty place behind his house, on which the blood of the deceased was found.
Gulfam told the police that he was jailed in Muzaffarnagar in the Kawal incident riots and murder case. He was in jail for 11 years and was released on 5th August. In jail, he met Mehtab who lives in Badarpur Ghaziabad. Mehtab was also in jail for three years. I became very close to Mehtab. Mehtab had adopted me as his adopted son. Whenever Mehtab's wife and other family members came to meet him in jail, they also met me. Shahnaz and her husband Mehtab arranged for my release from jail. I was released from Muzaffarnagar jail last month and stayed at Mehtab's house for about a month. Mehtab and Shahnaz sent me to their village Sikheda. Mehtab and Shahnaz told me that we had a dispute with Rashid over a mobile phone. Angered by this, his son left his house on 13th September and has not returned. Rashid is threatening us that if my son does not return, I will send you to jail. Then I told him that you do not worry, I am coming, all arrangements will be made.
He told the police that on 16th September he had come to Mehtab's house in village Badarpur from Sikheda. At home these people had told the whole story that if Rashid's son is not found then Rashid will send us all to jail. Therefore it will be better for us to remove Rashid from the way. After some time around 1:30 pm the deceased Rashid was going from behind Mehtab's house with a stick in his hand in search of his son, then Javed, Gulfam, Suhail together took Rashid to the place behind Mehtab's house by pressing his mouth and snatching the stick from Rashid, beat him fiercely on his face and head. Due to which he died on the spot.
