On Tuesday, the police arrested the accused of raping an assistant teacher posted in a composite school of Barsathi police station area and threatening to make her obscene photo and video viral for four years and embezzling Rs 11 lakh and sent her to jail. The arrested accused is Vinod Kumar, resident of Nigoh.
According to the police, the teacher is a resident of Varanasi district and she is posted as an assistant teacher in a school in the area. She lives in a rented house in Nigoh Bazaar. It is alleged that Vinod Kumar, resident of Nigoh village, made obscene videos and photos. Vinod kept having physical relations with the teacher from 2021 to 2024 by blackmailing her and threatening to make the photo viral. Meanwhile, he gradually took Rs 11 lakh from the teacher. When the teacher asked for her money, it is alleged that he then started threatening to make the video and photo viral and also threatened to kill her if she asked for money. The woman got tired and complained about the matter to the police.
Police Station Head Rajesh Yadav said that on the basis of the teacher's complaint, a case has been registered and the accused has been arrested from his house. The accused works as a furniture maker in Nigoh market.
