The latest news is that a huge step is being taken to make Ranchi jam-free and beautiful. of the city 10 major roads have been named ‘Model Roads’. Will be developed as.

What does ‘Model Road’ mean?

Now you might be thinking that a road is a road, what is this ‘model’ road? In simple language, these roads will not be abandoned just by laying ‘black bitumen’.

• Width and Strength: These roads will be widened so that vehicles can pass easily.
• Pavement and Drainage: Excellent footpaths will be built for pedestrians and there will be concrete drains to ensure that water does not stagnate during rains.
• Freedom from hanging wires: Most importantly, model road means that you will no longer see random hanging electrical wires. These will be shifted underground or in a systematic manner.
• Greenery and Lights: Saplings will be planted on the divider in the middle of the road and the glowing street lights at night will give the city a metro city look.

Why was there a need for this?

Ranchi is now expanding rapidly. The number of vehicles is increasing day by day, but the roads remain the same. Under the ‘Smart City’ project, it became necessary to give a new look to the capital. The administration believes that the construction of these 10 roads will not only solve the traffic problem but will also create a good image of Ranchi in front of the people coming from outside.
