Ranchi, 17 April (HS). The capital Ranchi became completely Ram-happy on Wednesday due to Ram Navami. The city is decorated with saffron flags. There was a queue of devotees in the historic Tapovan temple of Ranchi from 4 am in the morning. Crowds of devotees with Bajrangi flags in their hands and Ramnami on their heads were seen standing in line for hours to offer prayers in the temple. Amidst all this, the enthusiasm of the devotees was palpable.
Regarding Tapovan temple, it is believed that on the occasion of Ram Navami, hoisting the flag at home after worshiping the flag brings happiness, prosperity as well as positive energy in the family, that is why this tradition has been going on for a long time. Still alive today. On this occasion, many devotees also worship the sword in this temple.
Here, processions of other puja committees including Shri Mahavir Mandal, Doranda Central Committee, Chutiya Ram Mandir were also taken out with great pomp. This yatra of Shri Mahavir Mandal, Doranda Central Committee was carried out under the leadership of Mandal President Sanjay Poddar and Minister Pappu Verma. The procession started from three places at three o'clock in the day. First of all, it started from Ghaghra and reached Tulsi Chowk via Gosai Toli, Devi Mandap, Lohra Coach, Shanti Rani School, Electricity Board Colony, 56 Side BMP. The second Shobha Yatra passed through Mani Tola, Patthar Road and met Bhawanipur near Jodha Temple and Kali Temple. From there proceeded via BNS Club Kanya Pathshala, Ravidas Mohalla. After this, Beldar Mohalla came together.
The third journey was taken out from AG Colony, which took AG turn via JMJ, Munshi Mohalla, Miskot Maidan, Jhanda Chowk Bazaar Mohalla and reached Younis Chowk from Masjid Road, from where taking Beldar Mohalla it went towards Jain Temple, Tulsi Chowk. . Then there was the meeting of Ghaghra Shobha Yatra. Then after reaching Tapovan temple and offering prayers, all the Akhara holders went back to their Akhara through their respective traditional routes. Weapons were displayed in the procession along with cheers for Bajrangbali. The Tasha party from Hazaribagh and Jhalda, Dhanbad and Bokaro were the center of special attraction. A beautiful tableau was presented in the procession.
Attractive lights were installed by Dorinda Miss Kot Maidan. Various temples of Doranda were attractively decorated with flowers. In the Shobha Yatra, Ram devotees participated in the Shobha Yatra with the cheers of Bajrangbali, displaying weapons. In the Maha Ashtami tableau competition, bumper prize was given to Shri Mahavir Mandal Kusai, first prize to Shri Mahavir Mandal, Kumhar Toli, second prize to Shri Mahavir Mandal, Ravidas Mohalla, third prize to Shri Mahavir Mandal Tribal Akhara Mani Tola. Chief Patron Bajrang Prasad Gupta, Manoj Verma, Suresh Prasad and others also participated in this procession.
Havan and Purnahuti were also performed for Chaiti Durga Puja in the historical Ram temple of Chutiya. Ram Janmotsav was celebrated at 12 noon. Then a mass Bhandara was also organised. According to Vijay Sahu, a key member of the temple management committee, like every time, the Shobha Yatra from Ram Temple continues to reach Tapovan Temple via Bahu Bazar, Mahavir Temple. Then it returned back to Chutia.
