Ramoji Rao was admitted to the hospital on the 5th of this month after his health deteriorated. He passed away at 4:50 am on Saturday. Senior leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief over his demise.
Rao Ramoji Rao was battling health ailments a few days before his death. According to reports, preparations are underway to take Ramoji Rao's body to his residence in Ramoji Film City, where his family members, friends and well-wishers will pay their last respects to the departed soul.

Ramoji Rao was born on 16 November 1936 in a farmer family in Pedaparupudi village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He built the world's largest theme park and film studio, Ramoji Film City. His business empire includes Margadarsi Chit Fund, Eenadu Newspaper, ETV Network, Ramadevi Public School, Priya Foods, Kalanjali, Ushakiran Movies, Mayuri Film Distributors and Dolphin Group of Hotels.
As a media mogul, Ramoji Rao exerted considerable influence on Telugu politics. He had very good relations with many state and national leaders who would seek his advice on important issues.
