Lucknow/Ayodhya, October 7: This time Ramnagari, which glows with the light of lamps, will also attract devotees with artistic decorations and creative figures. In Deepotsav-2026, grand decorations will be seen on the theme of Ramayana from the major intersections of Ayodhya to the entry road, Ramkatha Park, Ram Ki Paidi and Saryu Beach. Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has prepared a comprehensive action plan for this. In Ramnagari, along with decorative gates, way-finder, selfie point and stage, glimpses of Ram Rath and Pushpak Viman will also be seen. At the same time, attractive floaters on the waves of Saryu will add to the grandeur of the Deepotsav.
Under Deepotsav-2026, various events will be held in Ayodhya from November 6 to 8. The main event of Deepotsav will be held on 7th November. For the convenience of devotees and tourists, theme based way-finders will be installed at about 10 major places. These will be around major entry routes, intersections and event venues.

For the devotees and tourists coming to Deepotsav, 10 attractive selfie points each will be made at Ram Katha Park and Ram Ki Paidi. Each installation will have a different theme, design and construction style. In these, glimpses of Ayodhya and Deepotsav will be seen in an artistic style. Three-dimensional artworks will not only enhance the beauty of the venues but will also make the experience of the visitors special. These will be prepared in such a way that they become a part of the decoration of Deepotsav-2026 and also become a center of attraction for the people. In this series, artistic installations will be prepared from Lata Mangeshkar Chowk to Ram Ki Paidi Marg.
Ram Katha Manch will be seen in a new style
The permanent stage of Ramkatha Park will be seen in a new color for the cultural events of ‘Diya Ke Utsav’. LED screens, theme based colorful clothes etc. will be used here along with sound and lighting system. There will also be stairs, floral decorations, rangoli, curtains and seating arrangements on the stage on both sides. The design will be prepared as per the existing structure. At the same time, decorative gates will be constructed to make the entry and exit of Ram Katha Park attractive. The design of each gate will be based on Indian culture, traditional symbols and themes from Ramayana.
Decoration of major roads of Ayodhya
This time the picture of the entry roads of Ayodhya will be seen in a new color during Deepotsav-2026. 10 grand gates decorated with the theme of Ramayana will be prepared on the main highways and ‘Dharma Path’ of the city. Each gate will have a different identity in the decoration of these gates built on Dharma Path along the routes coming to Ayodhya from Lucknow, Sultanpur and Rae Bareli. These entrance gates decorated with attractive designs, theme based decorations and lights will make the devotees feel the grandeur of the Deepotsav as soon as they reach Ayodhya.
Pushpak Viman will attract attention
Roadside installation on Pushpak Viman theme near Ram Ki Paidi will become the center of attraction. Ram Rath and tableau will be prepared, bringing alive the story of Ramayana. A grand presentation of Ram Darbar will be held near Ram Ki Paidi, while Bharat Milap Manch and pathways will be developed in the helipad area near Ramkatha Park. The grandeur of the event will be increased by installing flag poles on major routes. At the same time, attractive floaters on Saryu and Ram ki Paidi will also attract devotees and tourists. Apart from these, there will be special attractions like Ram Rath, Ram Darbar, Bharat Milap Manch.
