Ballia, July 13 (HS). The issue of online attendance in government schools is gaining momentum. After former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav expressed sympathy for the teachers, former Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary, who was the Basic Education Minister in the state government, has also come forward in support of the teachers.
He issued a statement on Saturday saying that the quality of education cannot be improved by threatening with the government's stick. A teacher is a creator. It is not right to put pressure on teachers. It would be better to trust them. Mr. Chaudhary, who was the Basic Education Minister, said that no teacher wants to reach school late, but sometimes the delay in public transport can be the reason for this. Apart from this, sometimes closed railway gates and sometimes the distance of fifty kilometers between home and school. Sometimes weather or other natural reasons, because teachers neither have government accommodation to live near the school nor houses are available on rent in remote areas. Online attendance gives rise to unnecessary stress and a mentally entangled teacher can sometimes get into an accident in a hurry. Many examples of this are also found.
He said that the government should first work towards removing the fears and problems of the teachers. The present government should keep the teachers and the temple of education away from its hunter policy. Shri Chaudhary expressed sympathy towards the teachers on the issue of digital attendance.
