Rameshwaram Cafe Blast – Main accused sent to 10 days police custody

New Delhi, 13 April (HS). Bengaluru (Karnataka) The two main accused in the Rameshwaram cafe blast case, Musavvir Hussain Shajib and A Mathin Ahmed Taha, have been sent to 10-day police custody by the special NIA court today. Before this, his regular medical examination was done.

The two suspects arrested in the Rameshwaram cafe blast case were brought to Bengaluru on transit remand on Friday. They were produced before the judge of the special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday. The NI had arrested the accused from West Bengal yesterday for their alleged role in the March 1 blast.

According to the NIA, Shajib planted the explosives in the cafe and Taha is the main conspirator in planning and executing the blast. 10 people were injured in this explosion. Before the arrest of these two suspects, NIA had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information.

The bomb blast took place at Rameshwaram Cafe on ITPL Road, Brookfield in Bengaluru at 1 pm on March 1. On March 3, NIA took over the investigation of this case. The NIA had identified both the suspects on March 23.
