Ramesh Singh Arora becomes president of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and Bibi Satwant Kaur elected general secretary

Amritsar: Ramesh Singh Arora has been elected President of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and Bibi Satwant Kaur has been elected General Secretary. In the meeting held in Lahore, the names of both the leaders were presented respectively, which were approved amid cheers. Ramesh Singh Arora has invited Sikh Gurdwara Management Committees in India to unite on one platform to find solutions to the problems faced by Sikhs across the world. He said that Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee will continue to protect the original Nanakshahi calendar of 2003. Arora said that our team will continue to make efforts to connect Sikhs living in different countries including India with the rich Sikh heritage of Pakistan.

He said that we have always given the status of elder brother to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and we want Shiromani Committee and Pakistan to work together with the Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for the progress of the Panth. He said that we will take the cooperation of the federal government and the state government to solve the problems of the Sikhs living in Pakistan. Arora said that just as Mrs. Maryam Nawaz is serving as the Chief Minister of Pakistan Punjab, similarly we have also given the responsibility of General Secretary of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to Mrs. Satwant Kaur.
