Kanpur, July 15 (HS). The roads in the Cantt area should be pothole free, the Central Government is ready to take care of any fund related problems in the development. This was stated by Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency MP Ramesh Awasthi while addressing a meeting held in the Cantt Board Office on Monday. He said that the roads falling under the Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency should be developed in a planned manner by making footpaths and drains.
Due to half-hearted development in the area, planned development is not taking place in the city. For this we will have to get the work done according to a plan, before building the road and drain, it should be ensured that there is a sewer and drinking water line there. Some proposals were also passed in the board meeting which included establishment of 6 dialysis units in the cantonment hospital, establishment of an oxygen plant, approval to purchase dustbins for keeping iron dustbins in mind for cleanliness, along with this, a massive tree plantation campaign will be conducted on World Environment Day. Along with this, the new Executive Officer Stephen PD assumed charge. On this occasion, Brigadier Vijay Kumar Punia Lakhan and other concerned officials were present.
