New Delhi: The stories of Ramcharitmanas and Panchatantra written by Goswami Tulsidas are now recognized all over the world. The illustrated manuscripts of Ramcharitmanas and the 15th century manuscript of Panchatantra tales have been included by UNESCO in its 'Memory of the World Regional Register'. The 2024 edition includes 20 heritage sites from Asia Pacific, including the Ramcharita Manas and Panchatantra as well as the Sahridayaloka-Lokan manuscripts.
According to PIB, Ramcharitmanas, Panchatantra and Sahridayalok-Lokan have been included in 'UNESCO's Memory of the World Asia-Pacific Regional Register'. This news is a matter of pride for every Indian. It is an affirmation of the rich literary heritage and cultural heritage of the country.
This announcement of UNESCO has come at a time when a huge temple of Lord Ram has been built in Ayodhya and lakhs of Ram devotees are getting blessings by visiting his Ramlala every day.
