Ram Navami festival is one of the important festivals of Sanatan Dharma: Banke Bihari Pandey

Prayagraj, 16 April (HS). The festival of Ramnavmi and Durgashtami was celebrated with pomp under the leadership of Principal Banke Bihari Pandey in Rani Revati Devi Saraswati Vidya Niketan Inter College, Rajapur of Kashi province, affiliated to Vidya Bharati. The Principal said that the festival of Ram Navami is one of the important festivals of Sanatan Dharma.

He told that Ram Navami date is celebrated as the birthday of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram. Who was the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the creator of the world. Who was born in Ayodhya city. Both Ramnavami and Mahanavami are important festivals in Hindu religion. But there is difference in their date, importance, worship and celebration. Ramnavami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, while Mahanavami marks the victory of Goddess Durga.

School's media in-charge and music teacher Manoj Gupta said that at the beginning of the program, Principal Banke Bihari Pandey along with his wife Sita Pandey performed the rituals by garlanding the pictures of Maa Durga and Lord Shri Ram, offering flowers and lighting lamps. After that, while worshiping nine girls, Nanhi Munni Devi Swaroopa of the school, washed everyone's feet, made them wear chunari, garlanded them and applied tilak. After that, after feeding everyone and giving gifts and Dakshina to everyone, he and all the teachers and students received blessings.

He told that after that, the school students created an atmosphere of devotion by reciting the hymns of Shri Ramchandra and Deviji under the direction of Sangeetcharya Manoj Gupta. In which all the students also joined in unison. In all the bhajans, school student Umang Gupta won applause by giving beautiful accompaniment on the tabla.
