Rakhi festival: Rakhis are selling well in the markets | News India

Dhamtari, 18 August (HS). The festival of Rakshabandhan will be celebrated in the region on 19 August, for which rakhis are being sold in good numbers in the city markets. Rakhis of various companies have arrived for sale in the shops. Sweets and fruit shops are crowded with customers.

The market was bustling with activity due to Raksha Bandhan. A day before the festival, on Sunday, there was good buying and selling in the temporary shops of Rakhi set up in front of Makai Chowk Shani Mandir, Balak Chowk, Gol Bazaar, Sadar Marg Rambagh area and other places. Apart from the city, villagers from nearby villages also came to shop. Due to it being a weekly market, the shops were crowded. The weather remained clear.

Rakhi seller Ghanshyam Kumar said that rakhis are being sold for the past week. There has been no increase in their prices as compared to the past. Apart from rakhi, various kinds of sweets are also being sold in sweet shops for the festival. Sweets like Gulab, Jamun, Peda, Kalakand, Coconut Barfi are being sold very quickly. Apart from this, coconut, banana, apple and other fruits are also being sold well. A lot has changed with time. At one time, foam rakhis were in trend which has now gradually changed a lot, silver rakhis are also being sold in the market along with thread rakhis, although there are less buyers of these rakhis, but they are also being sold. Bullion businessman Saket Lunawat said that silver rakhis are also available in the market. Silver rakhis are available from Rs 500 to Rs 2.5 to Rs 3000. Now many people are liking to wear silver rakhis.
