There are seven days left for the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, political parties are campaigning vigorously and the number of leaders switching from Congress to BJP is also increasing.

Manvendra Singh left BJP and joined Congress in 2018.

Congress leader Manvendra Singh Jasol will formally join the party at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally to be held in Barmer today. This step of BJP will cause a big blow to Congress in Rajasthan. Along with this, the tension of Ravindra Singh Bhati, who is contesting as an independent candidate from Barmer Lok Sabha seat, will also increase. Because with the return of Jasol, BJP will get the support of Rajput community, on the basis of which Bhati was considering his victory certain. It is noteworthy that Manvendra Singh Jasol left BJP and joined Congress in the year 2018. However, now he is joining BJP again ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The slogan 'Kamal Ka Phool Hamare Bhola' was given.

Manvendra Singh Jasol, son of Jaswant Singh Jasol, has contested the election of MLA thrice and MP twice from Barmer. He has contested two out of three elections on BJP ticket while once on Congress ticket. After differences with former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Manvendra Singh Jasol left BJP in 2018 and joined the Congress party. At that time he had also given the slogan 'Kamal Ka Phool Hamare Bhola'. After this he also contested elections against Vasundhara Raje in Jhalawar. But now he is returning to BJP just a week before the first phase of voting for Lok Sabha elections 2024.

Rajput votes may strengthen BJP's prospects

This time there is a tough competition on Barmer Lok Sabha seat. The former BJP leader is contesting from this seat as an independent candidate. He is getting full support from the public and everyone is surprised to see the crowd gathering in his meetings. Whenever and wherever they hold meetings, roads get blocked. Seeing this scene, the leaders of the opposition parties lost their sleep. In such a situation, to change the political equation of Barmer and ensure BJP's victory on this Lok Sabha seat, Prime Minister Modi is going to address a big public meeting in Barmer today. Manvendra's return may strengthen BJP's chances with Rajput votes.
