Ranchi, 22 April (HS). The first phase of elections in the state is on May 13. Elections are to be held here in a total of four phases. For this, BJP candidates have also started the nomination process from Monday. Current MP from Singhbhum Geeta Koda filed her nomination. During this time, BJP state president Babulal Marandi was also with him.
Arjun Munda will file nomination from Khunti seat on Tuesday. During this time, Union Minister Rajnath Singh will also be with him. VD Ram and Sameer Oraon will file nomination from Palamu and Lohardaga respectively on April 24. VD Ram will be accompanied by Union Minister VK Singh while Sameer will be accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel. Patel will come to Ranchi and go to Lohardaga from here.
Elections are to be held in Jharkhand in four phases from May 13 to June 1. In the first phase, elections are to be held for Singhbhum, Khunti, Lohardaga and Palamu seats. In this, Palamu seat is reserved for SC while the remaining three seats are reserved for ST. Voting will be held for Chatra, Koderma and Hazaribagh seats in the second phase. In the third phase, voting will be held in Giridih, Dhanbad, Ranchi and Jamshedpur on May 25. In the fourth phase, voting will be held on June 1 for Rajmahal (ST), Dumka (ST) and Godda seats.
