Rajgarh, 2 September (HS). Lokayukta team raided the Sarangpur SDM office of the district on Monday, in which a clerk was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of five thousand rupees. Lokayukta inspector Uma Kushwaha told that the applicant Ayaz Baig had complained to the Special Superintendent of Police on August 29, in which a case of transfer of name was filed in the Sub-Divisional Officer's office Sarangpur. In the said case, the SDM and his reader had demanded 30 thousand rupees in exchange for rejecting the application.
After verification of the complaint, prima facie a case was registered against SDM reader Shakti Singh under section 7PC Act. Lokayukta team conducted a raid and caught SDM reader Shakti Singh red handed while accepting a bribe of five thousand rupees. During the action taken under the leadership of DSP Sanjay Shukla, Inspector Uma Kushwaha, Ghanshyam, Prar. Rajendra Pawan, Mukesh Parmar and others were present.
