Rajasthan will get full benefit of double engine government: Diya Kumari

Jaipur, June 22 (HS). To realize the vision of Modi 3.0 government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented Rajasthan's side in the pre-budget discussion held under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to realize the concept of “Developed India – Developed Rajasthan” in the upcoming Central Budget 2024-25. Diya Kumari placed the development issues related to the people of Rajasthan before the Union Minister.

During the meeting, Diya Kumari presented in detail to the Union Minister all the dimensions of giving a concrete shape to the 'Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project', which is proving to be the lifeline of 21 districts of Rajasthan. She gave information about the progress of the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' being run in Rajasthan and the efforts of the Rajasthan government to strengthen this mission and achieve its goals soon and demanded more cooperation from the central government.

Diya Kumari said that we also raised the issue of giving a concrete shape to the 'three major railway projects' pending in Rajasthan before the Union Minister, so that the flow of development can be brought to the remote areas of Rajasthan deprived of rail facilities. During the meeting with the Union Minister, the construction of new national highways in the state and their strengthening were also discussed. Diya Kumari said that along with being the largest state of the country in terms of area, it is very important to have a strong network of roads to connect big cities to villages and hamlets in remote areas in Rajasthan so that all parts of the state can be connected to the main stream of development.

Diya Kumari said that availability of adequate energy is very important for the development of agriculture, industry as well as infrastructure of the state in Rajasthan. Therefore, central support is necessary to make Rajasthan self-reliant in the field of energy. She demanded special support from the Union Minister for energy companies operating in Rajasthan so that Rajasthan can take forward development by exploiting all the possible possibilities in the field of energy in a better way.

In the meeting, the Union Minister took seriously all the points put forward by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on behalf of Rajasthan and assured that the central government will take positive steps on all the demands of Rajasthan. Additional Chief Secretary Finance Akhil Arora and Secretary Devashish Pushti were also present in the meeting.
