Rajasthan Government: Rajasthan government has banned Harsh Mander's book 'Adrishya Lok – Asha Aur Dasham Ki Kahaniyan' and ordered to withdraw it from schools. This book is based on the Godhra incident, in which Hindus have been held guilty. This book was included in the curriculum by the previous Gehlot government.

The Rajasthan government has ordered the recall of the books being taught in schools and the order to purchase the books has been cancelled. The Gehlot government had decided to include this book based on the Godhra incident in the curriculum, but the present government has ordered to remove it. Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that this book spreads lies about the Godhra incident and divides the society. The book has praised those who burnt the Godhra train and blamed Hindus.
The then government of Gujarat has also been misrepresented. Madan Dilawar accused former Congress Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara of deliberately including the book in the curriculum to poison the children of Rajasthan. However, Dotasara claimed in a tweet that this book was not included in the curriculum during his tenure.

He accused Madan Dilawar of lying. Former IAS officer Harsh Mander claims that he has written about his experiences. He termed the Godhra train attack as a terrorist conspiracy and after that Muslims were targeted.
