Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma called a review meeting on disaster management at the Chief Minister's Office in Jaipur. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister directed senior officials to provide immediate relief to the areas affected by heavy rains in the state.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the Secretary-in-Charge should visit the districts under his charge and review the situation of heavy rains. The Chief Minister also directed the police administration to keep a close watch from the security point of view. He said that relief work should be expedited immediately by forming joint teams of the concerned departments.
The Chief Minister said that the district administration should be on alert mode regarding rescue and relief operations and visit waterlogged areas and ensure drainage arrangements. And basic amenities including water, electricity should be restored immediately in the affected areas. He said that the state and district level disaster management control rooms should be kept fully active. Also, necessary precautionary measures should be taken based on the forecast of the Meteorological Department.
