To strengthen the public transport system in Rajasthan, 500 electric buses will be operated in seven cities. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari has taken a big step in this regard. Diya Kumari has issued approval to provide electric buses.

In this regard, he said that in implementation of the budget announcement, 500 electric buses will be made available for urban bus service in the cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, Bikaner, Bharatpur and Udaipur of the state. This will provide pollution free transportation facility to the general public. By promoting public transport, the general public will get the benefit of faster and better transport facilities.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that promoting electric vehicles will save petrol and diesel, reduce environmental pollution and people will get the benefit of a better lifestyle. The electric buses will be operated and maintained by the Autonomous Government Department through Convergence Energy Services Limited.
