Mumbai, August 11 (HS). Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray on Saturday supported the incident of MNS workers throwing coconuts on Uddhav Thackeray's car in Thane. Raj Thackeray said that his workers have taken revenge twice more than they deserved.
Raj Thackeray said in Pune on Sunday, “The protest by my Maharashtra Sainiks in front of Uddhav Thackeray's convoy in Thane on Saturday was their angry reaction. All efforts to create disruption during my Navnirman Yatra started from Dharashiv. The protesters in Dharashiv were raising slogans in the name of Maratha reservation movement, but later realised that they had nothing to do with this movement. They were Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray factions.
He said, “In Beed, the district president of Uddhav Bala Saheb Thackeray's party Shiv Sena staged a tamasha in the name of protest and since there was no initial protest anywhere, my Maharashtra sainiks did what they had to do. Just as Maharashtra sainiks have been vigilant at this time, Raj Thackeray told his workers, “They should be vigilant.” Raj Thackeray has also appealed to political parties and journalists to refrain from spreading inflammatory news just for TRP.
