Mumbai, 28 November (Hindustan Reporter). After the defeat of opposition parties in Maharashtra Assembly elections, strong opposition to EVMs has started. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has also decided to join this movement on Thursday, but MNS has announced to fight this battle alone.
MNS leader Babu Bagaskar said that a meeting of office bearers and defeated candidates was called in Pune on Thursday under the chairmanship of MNS President Raj Thackeray. In this meeting, all the MNS officials and defeated candidates said that their defeat was because of EVMs. After this, Raj Thackeray ordered MNS officials to collect evidence regarding EVMs? When Raj Thackeray had earlier opposed EVMs, no one had supported him, so now he will fight this battle alone.
It is noteworthy that in this assembly election, MNS’s only MLA Raju Patil has lost the election. Along with this, Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray, Raj Thackeray’s trusted leader Sandeep Deshpande, Bala Nandgaonkar, Avinash Jadhav have also been defeated and MNS has got only 1.8 percent votes. Due to this, the election symbol of MNS is also in trouble.
