Raj Babbar

Gurugram, June 25 (HS). Senior Congress leader Raj Babbar says that BJP is completely suffering from anti-SC and anti-OBC mentality. That is why ever since BJP has come to power in the state, it is continuously attacking the reservation and rights of Dalits and backward classes. He said this in a statement issued on Tuesday.

He said that BJP had reduced the creamy layer of reservation for backward classes from 8 lakhs to 6 lakhs. Along with this, BJP also added agricultural and salary income to it. Whereas during the Congress tenure, on 27 May 2013, while determining the income limit of creamy layer, agricultural and salary income were separated from it. He said that today the creamy layer limit of the Center is also Rs 8 lakh, but the BJP government of Haryana reduced it to 6 lakhs and also added agricultural and salary income to it. Due to this, lakhs of people of backward classes were deprived of the right to reservation. Now that the truth of BJP has been exposed in front of the backward class, BJP is talking about increasing this limit back to 8 lakhs. No government document has come out regarding this yet. The social media post made by the CMO regarding this has also been deleted.

Raj Babbar said that more than 2 lakh posts are lying vacant in the state's jobs. But BJP is deliberately not filling these posts. Because if there are permanent recruitments, SC and OBC will have to be given reservation. But BJP does not want this. Therefore, thousands of posts of backward classes are lying vacant and a huge backlog has accumulated in the state's jobs. On the contrary, during the Congress tenure, many steps were taken to give proper benefits of reservation to all the castes of backward classes. By creating separate categories of Group-A and Group-B, their reservation was increased from 10 to 15 percent. Group-A was given 10 percent and Group-B was given 5 percent reservation, whereas before that the overall OBC reservation was only 10 percent.

Raj Babbar said that BJP can never think about the welfare of Dalits and backward classes. Everyone has come to know about the intentions and ideology of this government. That is why Dalits and backward classes together taught BJP a lesson in the Lok Sabha elections. To take revenge for that, BJP is eliminating government jobs and government education system from the state.
