Raipur, 18 October (Hindus). 8 nomination applications worth Rs 70 thousand were purchased for Raipur South Assembly by-election 2024. The last date for filing nomination applications is October 25. Nominations will be scrutinized on October 28. Candidature can be withdrawn on 30th October.
It is noteworthy that the District Election Commission has issued the notification for Raipur South Assembly by-election on Friday. Now the process of election of assembly member of Raipur South region has also started. Candidates contesting the election can submit their nomination forms till October 25. The notification has been issued in both Hindi and English languages. Nomination of candidates to contest the elections has also started from today itself. According to the notification issued from the Returning Officer's office, the scrutiny of nomination papers received within the stipulated time till October 25 will be done on October 28. The candidate will be able to withdraw his name on written notice by himself or through any of his proposers or through his election agent as declared by written letter.
The last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed as October 30 and the time is till 3 pm. The final list of candidates contesting the elections will also be released on the same day. Voting for the by-election of assembly member of Raipur South assembly constituency will be held on Wednesday, November 13. The result will be released on 23rd November.
