Nearly two hundred millimetres of rain has fallen in three days. The sun has not been seen for three days. Due to the continuous rain, it has become difficult for people to leave their homes. The biggest problem is for the daily wage earners. The work of daily wage labourers has come to a standstill. Along with those doing small and big business, the rain has had a great impact on the people who set up handcarts, tea stalls and vegetable shops on the roads. Due to the rain, there is silence on the roads. Only a few vehicles are seen on the roads. The rain has also affected the employment of people driving rickshaws and autos. The weather department says that the monsoon will remain active like this for a few more days.
Due to the rain in the area, people are facing a lot of problems due to stagnation and mud and dirt at many places. Due to lack of proper drainage system in the city, dirty water from the drains is entering people's houses. The situation has gone from bad to worse in rural areas.
