Many states of the country are experiencing severe heat at this time. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a flood alert. IMD has issued a warning of severe heat in the eastern and southern areas of the country till April 30. According to the Meteorological Department, from April 30, there is a possibility of rain to heavy rain in many places along the banks of Ganga in West Bengal, some parts of Odisha and various areas of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain in various areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, East Uttar Pradesh during the next four days. Similar weather is likely to occur over Konkan, Goa during April 28-29 and over West Uttar Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during April 28-30, 2024.
In Jharkhand too, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature will be more than 40 degrees Celsius in most areas of the state. The temperature in Kolhan, Santhal and North Chhotanagpur divisions is likely to remain above normal till April 29. Today i.e. on 28th April, light rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds has been predicted in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi.
According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain and snowfall is likely at many places in the Western Himalayas during the next 2 days. On April 28, there may be heavy rain and snowfall in parts of Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh.
Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain with one or two spells of moderate rain may occur over Northeast India. There is a possibility of rain and strong winds in parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and South Odisha. Northern parts of Punjab may receive light to moderate rain and thundershowers twice.
