Alert declared in these cities of Maharashtra

The Meteorological Department said that many cities of Maharashtra are likely to receive heavy rains. The India Meteorological Department on Wednesday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar and a red alert for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and other districts. Mumbai Meteorological Department Director Sunil Kamble said that the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify the rain activity, which may result in another round of rain in Mumbai.

It will rain in many areas

Sunil Kamble said that a cyclonic circulation over west-central Bay of Bengal has extended to mid-tropical level, bringing change in weather conditions in Marathwada and adjoining Madhya Maharashtra region. However, currently maximum temperatures have been recorded in Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining districts.

Mumbai rain forecast

Along with this, the Meteorological Department said that the monsoon is definitely gaining momentum and there is a possibility of rain in Mumbai till September 26. Continuous rain is expected for the next four days. A total of 100 mm to 150 mm of rain is expected with thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in some parts of the state for the next 4 days, today a yellow alert has been issued with rain forecast in Navsari, Surat, Dang, Tapi and today an orange alert has been issued in Valsad, Daman Dadranagar Haveli, heavy rains are expected in Ahmedabad and Anand tomorrow.

Heavy rain may occur in Ahmedabad

According to the weather department forecast, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Vadodara may receive rain with strong winds tomorrow. Two rain systems have become active towards Gujarat, due to which Gujarat may witness rain between September 24 and 30. During this period, normal to moderate and one or two heavy rains will be seen.
