Heavy rain alert in 20 districts
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in 20 districts of the state on Thursday. These include Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Aligarh, Hathras, Mathura, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur and Unnao. Also, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the rain will continue for 2 to 3 days.
Lightning and strong wind warning
Due to heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, lightning warning has been issued in many areas. Which includes Ayodhya, Amethi. Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Banda, Kannauj, Bhadohi, Ghazipur. Due to its effect, Barabanki, Ghazipur, Pilibhit, Sonbhadra have been flooded. More than 50 villages of Purvanchal have been submerged due to floods. The situation has become even more frightening due to continuous rains. People have migrated from flood-affected areas in Ghazipur. Their houses are submerged in water. Dams are opened when the water level in rivers rises. Due to continuous rains and release of water from the dam, the Ganga river is in spate. Many connecting roads of Pilibhit district have been cut off.
