Rain in Dubai: Air India and Indigo cancel many flights to Dubai

Air India flight to Dubai canceled

Air India and IndiGo canceled several flights on Wednesday after rain in Dubai and the airport was flooded. Air India operates 72 flights a week to Dubai from various cities in India, but the flights had to be canceled due to bad weather in the Gulf city. Passengers also got the option to reschedule their flights with Air India. The airline said it is providing all possible assistance to the passengers.

Vistara, Indigo and SpiceJet also canceled flights

Dubai flights of other airlines including Air India Express, Vistara, IndiGo and SpiceJet have also faced difficulties. Air India Express said that we are offering full refund and free rescheduling option to the affected passengers. IndiGo on Wednesday announced that it was facing operational problems due to bad weather. Due to which all flights to and from Dubai have been cancelled.

Dubai International Airport, ranked as the world's second busiest airport in 2023 by the Airports Council International (ACI), has faced problems after heavy rains. After the rain in Dubai, a flood like situation has arisen in the city.

Many flights from Ahmedabad to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

On Wednesday, several flights from Ahmedabad to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah faced disruption due to heavy rains, which led to floods in the UAE. Sources said as the rains continue, more flights are likely to be affected in the coming days, while airport officials have advised passengers to check their flight status and contact airlines in case of difficulties. .

An Emirates flight to Dubai was canceled at 4:35 am

According to Ahmedabad International Airport sources, six flights were canceled or delayed. An Emirates flight to Dubai was canceled at 4:35 am, while an Etihad flight to Abu Dhabi was delayed by an hour. Similarly, the Air Arabia flight to Abu Dhabi scheduled for 6:25 am was postponed till 10:46 pm. The SpiceJet flight to Dubai, which was earlier scheduled at 4:35 pm, was now scheduled at 6:24 pm. Air Arabia's Sharjah flight at 5:15 am and IndiGo's Dubai flight at 2:50 am were cancelled.
