Rain forecast after 2 days… so why Meghraj now?

After waiting for the monsoon, Delhi-NCR received heavy rains. It rained so much that vehicles were seen floating on the roads of Delhi. Many areas including Noida were flooded. Due to the rain, an accident occurred at Indira Gandhi International Airport. A part of the roof of Terminal 1 fell on the vehicles parked there. In which one person died and many people were injured. The Meteorological Department said in its bulletin released on Thursday that it will rain on Saturday and Sunday.

Heavy rain in Delhi-NCR

On Thursday, the Meteorological Department bulletin said that monsoon may arrive in Delhi in the next 2-3 days. Now the question is whether this is pre-monsoon or monsoon has arrived. Pre-monsoon usually brings light drizzle, but the torrential rain that has occurred in Delhi-NCR is surprising.

According to the Meteorological Department, there are wind, time and other criteria for monsoon. But the rain that has occurred does not meet the criteria of monsoon. This is the reason why the department is not considering the recent rain as monsoon rain completely. The India Meteorological Department issued a bulletin on Friday after heavy rains in and around the capital. The Meteorological Department announced the onset of southwest monsoon in Delhi and other parts of North India in a bulletin.

What is the reason for rain before forecast?

According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon has reached the North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, some more parts of Rajasthan and most parts of Madhya Pradesh. Its effect is being seen in western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, most parts of Himachal Pradesh. Its effect has been seen here as well, meanwhile the IMD has also predicted rain with thunder in northwest and eastern India during the next five days.
