Bikaner, 2 October (HS). Special cleanliness programs are being run on North Western Railway till 15th October under Swachhta Pakhwada. During the Cleanliness Fortnight today, on 2nd October, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Bharat Diwas, cleanliness was carried out by running a Shramdaan campaign. In the same sequence, railway workers in the head office, divisions and all the units of North Western Railway cooperated in the cleanliness campaign by donating their labour.

According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, under the leadership of Amitabh, General Manager-North Western Railway, officers and employees of the station premises including platform and circulating area at Jagatpura station took up cleanliness drive at 9.30 am on Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Bharat Diwas. Participated enthusiastically in the Shramdan campaign.

General Manager Amitabh first garlanded the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. On this occasion, the General Manager said that it is the duty of all of us to maintain cleanliness and everyone should cooperate in this. Also said that the level of cleanliness can be improved with the participation of the general public.

Ashok Maheshwari, Additional General Manager-North Western Railway, Vikas Purwar, Divisional Railway Manager, Jaipur Department Head, officers and employees were present at Jagatpura station. Along with this, Shramdaan programs were also organized in all divisions, factories, units, railway complexes and railway colonies.
