Katihar, 12 October (Hindustan Reporter). Gautam Aggarwal, nephew of BJP MLC Ashok Aggarwal, was slapped by Katihar Railway SP Dr. Sanjay Bharti at the Durga Puja fair. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, in which Railway SP can be seen slapping Gautam Aggarwal.
Gautam Agarwal said that he had come to see the fair with his wife and children. While going back, the Railway SP started arguing with him about coming on a motorcycle and slapped him. A lawyer standing nearby made a video of this incident. Gautam said that there was a ban on vehicular movement in the fair area. Therefore he had decided to come by motorcycle.
After this incident, Ashok Aggarwal has sent a video to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar demanding action against the Railway SP. He said that this incident is an example of police misconduct and abuse of authority. This incident has raised many questions regarding police action and abuse of authority. The truth will be known only after investigation of the case and review of the allegations.
